Gu Yichen, a boy of seventeen or eighteen, had a well-defined face and eyes as clear and transparent as crystal. He was quiet and kind, rarely interacting with girls, but An Qi was an exception.
An Qi watched Gu Yichen eating quietly, then suddenly remembered something, opened her mouth, but said nothing."What do you want to say?"
A magnetic voice entered her ears. An Qi smiled awkwardly and said, "Thank you for the umbrella on that rainy day last time. I was thinking of returning it, but I got busy and forgot. Should I go back and get it for you?"
"No need yet, eat quickly, don't waste it." Gu Yichen looked at the food on his plate and continued, "I'm leaving now." He got up and left.
An Qi watched his departing figure, muttering, "He left so quickly, not even giving me a moment. What a strange person."
An Qi walked up the steps, pulled her collar tighter, looked at the sky, and sighed, thinking, "It's going to rain again. It seems like there are quite a few rainy days in autumn. Is it always raining when I meet him?" Sigh…
The autumn wind is blowing, and fallen leaves dance like butterflies on the trees, adding a touch of romance to the melancholy season.
In her memory, under the sycamore trees in the suburbs, little Anqi and little Yichen chased each other, their cheerful laughter echoing through the sky. Sycamore leaves drifted down with the wind, and their laughter carried further and further away.
Anqi sat up in bed, touching her forehead; it hurt a little. She sat on the edge of the bed, staring blankly out the window, thinking, "Why did I dream of him again? Was it him again the one I saw last time?
" Gu Yichen. "Achoo—"
Gu Yichen sneezed loudly. "Who's cursing me?"
Xiao Qing came in from outside, carrying large and small bags, placing them on the desk. Anqi walked over curiously, opened them, and saw they were all junk food. She shook her head and walked away.
"Xiao Qing, why did you bring back so much junk food? Are you planning to torture yourself?"
"Yes, I'm going to torture myself." Xiao Qing opened a bag of fries, crying, "Waaah... He doesn't want me anymore?"
"Who doesn't want you anymore?" An Qi asked.
"Who else could it be? He's a bastard! I was so good to him, but he took my kindness for granted! How could he do this to me? Waaah..."
"Xiao Qing, who are you talking about? I don't understand a word."
"It's better if you don't know. You don't need to know him." Xiao Qing ate her fries, saying angrily, "I'm channeling my grief into food. That's not self-torture, right, An Qi?"
"Right, right, that's not self-torture. That's channeling your grief into food, okay?" Suddenly remembering something, she said, "I'm going out for a bit. You eat slowly!" Saying that, she put on her coat, picked up her backpack, grabbed her umbrella, and left the dormitory.
An Qi arrived at the music room door and saw that the door was closed, and there was only a piano in the display case.
So he wasn't here. Anqi felt a little disappointed. She sat on the stone bench nearby, holding the umbrella with cartoon illustrations in her hand. The image of Gu Yichen giving her the umbrella flashed through her mind, and a smile curved her lips.
Gu Yichen arrived at the door of the music room and noticed Anqi sitting there blankly with the umbrella. He frowned.
"Have you been waiting here for a long time?"
Anqi looked up at the puzzled Gu Yichen, nodded, and stood up.
"I came to return the umbrella." She said, handing the umbrella to him.
"Thank you!"
Gu Yichen took the umbrella and went straight into the music room. The door was ajar, as if waiting for Anqi to come in.
He's so economical with words! Anqi pouted, stuck her tongue out at the door, and then went inside.
