Life is a journey

I decided to walk because it's springtime, and I was afraid my wobbly figure would be exposed to the spring sunshine. So, I bought a fitness tracker, downloaded an app to monitor my activity, and started walking.

Some people said I wasn't fat, others said I was just right. But I think no one knows my own body better than myself. So, at the end of last month, I started walking. It's 3.6 kilometers from home to work. I walked there in the morning, and by the time I got off work, I wanted to take a taxi or bus because I felt so tired. Normally, I can't walk that much in three days. But my goal was in my mind; I couldn't not walk, I couldn't not walk!

So, I struggled and walked another 3.6 kilometers. When I got home, I found myself still alive and well, not exhausted. Okay, the first day of walking was a success, and I gave myself a pat on the back.

Along the way, I would look at the busy breakfast stalls, the fruit and vegetable shops, the many elderly people picking out vegetables, and the long lines of buses and cars. Especially as I walked, I felt a light sweat all over my body, which was particularly comfortable.

If simply walking is monotonous, then reflecting on life while walking brings unprecedented insights.

From the moment a person learns to walk in infancy, their life begins a journey of walking. First, we stumble and fall, then we travel steadily through different places, then we enter school to learn more, and finally, we enter society. All of this is about exploring life through our own footsteps. But many people, as they walk, lose interest, or think that airplanes, trains, and cars can replace walking. As a result, many, like me, suffer from various health problems and headaches.

It turns out that I've achieved my goal of walking over 10,000 steps a day for thirteen days, and I've only lost two pounds. For many young people trying to lose weight, this achievement is insignificant, but I'm delighted with the change. I will no longer complain about walking a little bit, nor will I boast about my amazing exercise on WeChat Moments.

Because walking is a state of life that everyone should have, something to be maintained throughout life.
