Life's journey is filled with crossroads, and we often face numerous choices. Each choice is a decision made after weighing the pros and cons of our circumstances and conditions at the time. We
often hear people complain, regretting their past choices—choosing the wrong career path, the wrong profession. They lament how much more splendid their lives would be today if they had chosen a different industry, learned a different skill, or chosen a different major. Time cannot be reversed, and history cannot be rewritten. No matter which path you choose, as long as you walk it diligently, you will reach your ideal destination.
Shun was appointed from the fields, Fu Yue was selected from among the bricklayers, Jiao Ge was promoted from among the fish and salt merchants, Guan Zhong was released from prison and appointed prime minister, Sun Shu'ao entered the court from his secluded life by the sea, and Baili Xi rose from humble beginnings to become prime minister… If they had only complained before their obscurity, believing they were born in the wrong place, chose the wrong career, or taken the wrong path, and remained depressed, perhaps their talents would never have been discovered or valued.
We often hear people compare themselves to others: "He wasn't as talented as me back then, but he went into that industry, took that path, and now he's a leader, surpassing me." But if you look closely, some of those who chose the same path and started on the same line as you have still surpassed you and become outstanding talents. Why is that? Because those who surpassed you don't complain about their choices; they believe in them and only focus on moving forward.
"All roads lead to Rome." Success belongs to those with perseverance and patience. Let go of complaints and regrets, take each step well, treat yourself and those around you kindly, believe that your initial choice was right, and dedicate yourself to your career with a positive attitude, doing your best in everything you do. If you do this, you will still find a bright and smooth path ahead.
