In this world, with its affairs and emotions, let go and be carefree; take things easy and be worry-free. Life is about finding peace of mind.
If the heart isn't there, why force it? If someone doesn't love you, why force it? Only by cultivating your own land with a hoe can you reap the joy of a bountiful harvest; only by cherishing the warmth in your heart for those who hold you can you experience the beauty of true love. Whether in love or friendship, unrequited affection isn't warmth; mutual support is true spring. Many troubles stem from a lack of inner strength and ruthlessness. We're used to accommodating everyone, forgetting that we too can feel wronged; we endure pain to fulfill everything, ignoring the pain we also feel.Though I see through the emotions, I can't bear to leave; though I understand the events, I still feel uneasy. The most unpredictable thing in this life is meeting someone—who knows which glance will mark the beginning? The most difficult thing to say goodbye to is parting—who knows which glance will lead to final farewell? So many promises of inseparable companionship are eventually worn away by time, leaving no trace; so many unforgettable memories become a mystery, a farewell without end. Who is blind to the selfless companionship? Who is indifferent to the willing care?
People are all sentimental and loyal, yet their hearts are fragile. Learn to pick up, learn to let go, learn to let everything follow its course, be spontaneous, be natural. Cherish every moment. Have self-awareness when it comes to relationships; never fall in love prematurely. Some people are too important, so we choose to be friends, because friends always go further than lovers. Some people pretend not to want what they can't have, because standing naked before emotions means losing all pride.
Always considering others' feelings, who can understand the pain behind it? Always unable to let go of worthless feelings, who can appreciate your unnecessary sacrifices? If a person isn't ruthless enough, clinging on even after love has faded is cruel to themselves. If a heart isn't hard enough, remaining indecisive even when troubled is darkening the soul. Those with soft hearts are the most genuine, but live the most exhausting lives; any hurt can cause them great distress. We
see things clearly, yet remain resentful; we understand feelings, yet can't bear to leave. We can take on responsibilities, yet can't bear the pain; we can't let go, yet hurt ourselves. Perhaps only after loving do we understand how fragile the heart is; only after suffering do we realize there's no other choice. You can remember your entanglements and reluctance, but you must let go. True inner peace isn't the composure after giving up, but the indifference after letting go. Maturity isn't about being able to take on responsibilities and put them down, but about no longer taking on what you've let go of.
People are happy when they are simple, but few are truly happy. Their hearts are filled with pain when they are complicated, yet many are in pain. Only you know whether you laugh or cry, only you understand why you should cry or laugh. Some things, once they happen, can only be accepted; some people, once lost, can only be let go; some paths, once chosen, have no turning back. Let the past be the past; it's too late to go back. What's meant to come will come, and what's meant to leave will leave. Pick up what you should pick up, and let go of what you should let go. Let the endings end, so that the beginnings can begin.
Life is short. Live the ordinary life you want with a willing heart. Who you are is not important, and who is who is not important. Life is precious; don't waste it. Don't invite too many people into your life, and don't expect many people to approve of you. Those who don't understand you don't need explanations, and those who truly understand you don't need explanations either. Do things with a clear conscience; be a person with peace of mind. As long as your feelings are sincere, love without regret; as long as your heart is pure, live a fulfilling life.
