It's graduation season again. Graduation, unemployment. New students enter, and it seems like in the blink of an eye, the university that nurtured you for four years is completely disconnected from you. Because it's so vast, welcoming new students with its broad arms, your alma mater, though separated from you, remains bustling, joyful, still smiling at the youthful faces of the boys and girls on campus. You can't find a trace of yourself; the crowd can engulf you. The sounds of talking, laughter, footsteps, and shouts make it impossible to find your own voice.
Yes, graduation—a joyous yet profoundly heavy word. For some, graduation means ending several passionate romances, it means no more monthly or yearly bank transfers, it means going from being supported by others to supporting yourself. Graduation—besides the degree certificate and graduation certificate, they seem to have nothing. This feeling is like standing naked in the bitter cold of winter, the desolation unknowable to others. Of course, for outstanding graduates, graduation means the end of four years of hard work. They will move from school to the workplace, graduation means a high-paying and easy job, graduation means the next stage of life. Graduation is incredibly beautiful and something to look forward to for them. Even from an outsider's perspective, one can't help but smile for them, happy for three seconds before feeling sorry for oneself and worrying about one's future job. Once upon a time, the phrase "You're such a grown-up, and you don't even have this much money" filled me with a myriad of emotions.Nothing in this world is harder than earning money, and nothing is easier than spending it. Spending money is easy, like water flowing uphill. Earning money is hard, like climbing to the heavens.
Our alma mater sent off millions of college students with a graduation party, embarking on their own social journeys. Whether it's joy or sorrow, twists and turns or smooth sailing, it all depends on individual fate. "I know that without hard work, I am nothing" has become a wake-up call for every student, whether relaxed or tense.
Graduation is a journey to a new world. Graduation carries the initial hopes and dreams. Happy graduation! Long live graduation! It's a pity I'm not the one graduating.
