Four figures who significantly influenced the course of Chinese history are Ran Min, the Wei Wudi King; Zhu Yuanzhang, the Ming Taizu Emperor; Sun Yat-sen; and Mao Zedong. Ran Min ended the chaos of the Five Barbarian Invasions, and his achievements are arguably no less significant than those of Wei Qing, Huo Qubing, and Yue Fei. He ignited a beacon of hope in the darkest period of Han Chinese history, saving the Han people. Zhu Yuanzhang, rising from a cowherd to become the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, ended the 97-year rule of the Yuan Dynasty, restoring Han rule to China. His 300-year reign influenced 700 years of Chinese history. Sun Yat-sen's greatest achievement was the Xinhai Revolution, which established the Republic of China, overthrowing thousands of years of feudal autocracy, cleansing China of feudal ideology, and advancing the modernization of traditional Chinese culture, making a crucial historical contribution to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Mao Zedong, the founder of the People's Republic of China, had a profound influence that included unifying China, achieving independence and self-reliance, eliminating superstition, eradicating banditry, overthrowing Confucianism, and establishing the concepts of equality and communism. The influence of the new China is the influence of Mao.
