These are three pieces of wisdom, easy to understand and self-testing, learned from hard-won experience.
First, read the oldest books.
Our ancestors possessed profound wisdom; frequent reading helps maintain a clear mind, a childlike heart, and a pure, steadfast heart.
Even after many twists and turns, looking back reveals that they had already seen through everything; to rebel against wisdom is foolishness.
Second: Learn from Americans how to make money.
Whether in thought, methods, or a thorough understanding of the money-driven society, Americans are more advanced. The money mentality of many Chinese is heavy, causing premature aging, a vicious cycle, and a loss of self; most people genuinely fear money.
Third: Reflect on yourself daily: Is your mind at peace? Are you making money? Are you acting foolishly?
What is foolishness? It's going against your instincts and doing things that harm yourself every day, seeking harm and avoiding profit. Suffering is nothing more than the accumulation of foolishness. So ask yourself daily if you're acting foolishly; is it true that you have a foolish nature? Without your own career, easily swayed by rumors—isn't that foolish? Having your own goals but remaining inactive—isn't that foolish? To put it simply, being very sleepy but not sleeping is just being a masochist.
Yes, for me, doing these three pieces of advice is all I need to do.
